Yesterday, my friend visited Hikone City because he wanted to visit Hikone Castle. For lunch, at my friend's request, we decided to go to Porco-tei, which I had been interested in for a while. The store is located in a secluded area on the north side of the stadium currently under construction at the Hikone Prefectural Sports Complex in Hikone, with a cream-colored building that stands out and a parking lot. As soon as the store opened at 11:30, one group other than us entered the store. The restaurant has table seats and counter seats, so it can accommodate families or solo customers, and the high ceiling creates an atmosphere where you can enjoy your meal in a relaxed manner. I ordered a mixed set meal that included loin, fillet, and fried shrimp. Apparently, you can get second helpings of rice and pork soup, but I was told that I would have to pay for extra cabbage, but since I'm a vegetable lover, there was enough cabbage, so I probably shouldn't have added extra cabbage. Tonkatsu sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard are placed on the table, and you can choose your favorite sauce, and two types of dressing are brought to you along with water. The katsu at this restaurant is surprisingly light and crispy, and both my friend and I were satisfied with how delicious it was. However, the mixed set meal comes with two pieces of fried shrimp, so the quantity is quite large and even I would be full, so if you want a lighter meal, it would be better to order the regular loin pork cutlet. The pork soup was packed with vegetables and had a good taste, so I wanted to get a second helping, but that was not possible. BGM plays quietly inside the store, and the stylish interior has an atmosphere that makes it hard to believe that it is a tonkatsu restaurant. Because it is a little far from the sightseeing spots around Hikone Castle, it is a quiet, hidden restaurant that is not crowded with tourists, and is a tonkatsu restaurant that you will want to visit again when you come to Hikone.
