More Comments at Google MapThis is a hidden gem of a restaurant. Tackled under a hill surrounded by rice-fields - you would never expect to find this "Ginza-class" establishment here, in the "middle of nowhere". Traditional Japanese food and sushi are prepared in various courses. Presentation of the food is top-notch and so is the taste. Not your every-day food stuff - this place is where you take your business partners / associates for a lunch / dinner meeting (they have a private dining room), or the special someone to celebrate something. Ginza-style VIP dining in the country-side. Highly recommended!
I ordered the full course. When I arrived at the reservation time, I was greeted by a staff member and we ate in a nice atmosphere. The restaurant is located a little off National Route 20, and I was able to see the surrounding trees from the window and enjoy delicious food. I want to come again.
An authentic kaiseki restaurant located at the foot of Shichiriiwa along National Route 20 from Nirasaki to Hokuto. The road on the side of Route 20 becomes narrow, but there is a parking lot for about 10 cars in the Japanese modern storefront. From the windows of all private rooms, you can see the Phoenix Sanzan up close. I had reserved a special Shokado lunch box and a lunch kaiseki meal (Kai). The name is printed on the menu, and together with the private room, it is wrapped in a special private feeling. The beautiful color of the Shokado Bento, which is divided into four parts like Takeda-bishi, in a pentagonal bento box. Each item is carefully made, one item at a time, and the delicate skills of the owner shine. The kaiseki meal (Sachi) was served with fragrant fried mackerel and fukinoto, which made me feel the change of the season to spring. That morning, when I was wearing fallen leaf shoes, I just found three butterbur butterflies sticking out from under them. Chawanmushi, miso soup, simmered food, etc. were not too strong and had an elegant flavor. It's been a good day to feel spring. (February 26, 2022)
