Great Japanese Kaisendon and sushi restaurant. They have a good cheap lunch set where you can pick two different kaisen bowls to go with your set. Quality of the rice was apparent in every bite.

Nagi sits nestled into the forests and high hills/mountains of Ichikawamisato. The ambiance of the outside is enough to make you hope there is a wait to be seated. Being close to summer, the sounds of birds and insects fill the air. One should make a reservation when coming here. While the day I went was not very busy, I can only imagine the type of business this place will get on a weekend. Nagi's indoor atmosphere is a wonderful blend of wood and stone. The lighting is a little bright for my taste, but I did not mind. As with most sushi-ya, I recommend going for the omakase. My 12 piece set came with 本ニベ, ウニ、and 小肌 among others. Each piece was beautifully arranged, fresh, and paired with the accompanying rice. Nothing was off-putting. Nothing was out of place. Along with sushi, we had wonderfully paired 日本酒. 伯楽星 was lightly sweet. I was surprised to find 鰯たたき here too. Fresh, springy, and served with ginger and shiso. The value of this place is fantastic. For you お酒 aficionados (or 飲みすぎ人), this restaurant has a wealth of Daikou to call for you. Give them a heads up before you want to leave. Overall, I plan to spend many of the hot days of summer enjoying the nature that is 凪.
