Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi, Japan｜Kosaku Kawaguchiko

A very authentic Houtou noodles place with significantly large potions of dish in each order. A variety of combinations are available for both vegetarian and non-veg customers. The restaurant hall is big and spacious with Japanese style sitting on the floor legs down under the table. The food is so fresh and tasty. There could be 15-20 minutes wait as the place is quite popular. Parking is ample, and YES, they got an English Menu too! 🙃

Beautiful authentic restaurant. Low tables and sitting on tatami mat floor. It was full once we arrived on Saturday (holiday evening), after a short wait we were escorted to a table. The menu is only in Japanese, but the waitress could help with naming the main ingredients. I had Hoto with boat, which was fabulous. Noodles were perfect and soup tasted great. We also had fried Shrimp over rice, that was also incredibly tasty. Food was served within 15-20 minutes, very fast! I will definitely come back here if I visit kawaguchiko again.

Food: 5/5 Price: 4/5 (Was not expensive but not a normal meal price.) Portion: 5/5 The portions are huge ! Look at my wife’s hand verses the size of the tempura! 😮😮 We had tempura with 3 prawns and houtou spicy beef noodles Both dishes are delicious. The noodles are super thick, soft and chewy at the same time. The texture is really cooked to perfection. The soup is tasty and not very spicy with a LOT of ingredients. They also have an English menu that you have to ask for. I have attached it in the photos.
