Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan｜South Indian Spice Cuisine Kalyamdu

An Indian food inspired restaurant run by a Japanese chef. Tried their veg meal set and the taste was great. Especially the rasam was absolutely delicious and so authentic. Tried their coconut laddoo and it was awesome too. The chef even made us filter coffee which wasn’t on their menu and even that was on point. A rare vegetarian find in Fuji area. Would love to visit again.

very delicious food! Visited there last month June'23 with Indian family visiting over... I'm an Indian and impressed with the Japanese chef - he seems to know spices well, which one blends well with what, to create a perfect taste. It is definitely one of the best Indian food I have in japan. would love to visit again every-time I visit Kawaguchiko! only feedback I will give - (having "South Indian" in the name was a bit confusing as an India, initially bit disappointed because there was no south indian food options in the menu - dosa, idli etc,- but after having tasted the food we were still left satisfied!)

Delicious Indian food in cozy atmosphere. Had the vegan meal, lots of different things to try and enjoy. Will definitely come back!
