20230828 - very delicious Yamanashi local foods. The stewed horse intestine was impressive. The mouth feeling is like pork’s intestine but less smelling. Very delicious! Hodo has rich flavors. It cooked with diversified vegetables so the soup is full of sweetness from the nature. Many local residents came while we were having dinner and many of them ordered deep fried chicken. It looks very tasty so I will try it next time I visit here!

Ordered the signature handmade houtou, a pumpkin houtou and a yaki houtou. Yaki houtou tasted the best among the 3 dishes that we ordered. We had a slight miscommunication when ordering, and we ended up with the pumpkin houtou instead of the curry houtou, which either way tasted very good so we didn't complain. Other than that, everything was fine. There are English translations on the menus so ordering isn't much of an issue if you can't understand Japanese. The restaurant has a nice and comfortable "feels like home" vibe to it in my opinion.

Customer service is also prompt and kind. There are many dishes on the menu, and I want to try them all. Reasonably priced and delicious I came here because I wanted to eat hoto, but I also ordered horse sashimi and salt-grilled yamame trout. Everything is delicious Hoto has plenty of toppings and will leave you full. This is a store that I would like to come back to again. You can get either a ballpoint pen or a lighter on the way home.
