Oshino, Yamanashi, Japan｜Ikemoto Chaya

Late post, I had grilled fish with white rice here for lunch when I visited Oshino Hakkai back in April 2018. It was simply seasoned with salt grilled fish but it was superb! Fish was really fresh! And appreciate that the menu has english translations in it to cater for tourists.

A nice soba restaurant by the centre of Oshino Hakkai. They're most famous for the soba noodles which uses the local wheat. I got the udon as well which was very al dente which I never experienced in Japan. It was unique in its own way but stick with soba, order udon if it intrigues you.

I tried Udon with mountain yam. The broth was so good. Grill fish was also impressive. Nice
