Aridagawa, Wakayama, Japan｜Golden River

My husband and my friend, both from the US, love the place where they can be reminded of their home country. It was sort of crucial for them since they can not easily go back because of the Covid pandemic. (Thanks to the existence of the restaurant.) We recommend the avocado burger (which is not shown in the photos) but which might be sold out if you go during the later part of lunch and of course beer! It’s a dog friendly place. You can sit with your dog outside while having good booze! Enjoy!

Wonderfully kind staff, good food and amazing beers! It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but our burgers tasted even better because of it. Very reasonable prices too.

A fantastic craft beer bar located in a nicely renovated nursery school building. They have a good selection of beers and Portland themed gifts for sale. The staff was very friendly as well. The space is nicely designed and is a great place to work, have a small meeting or gather with friends. It is close to the center of town, the river, and right across the street from a small shrine. They are also opening a new brewery and guest house in the same building over the coming months. I highly recommend this place!
