Takano Chaya Kazuhisa is a little cafe right next to the funicular station. The views are amaze-ing. Matcha soft serve and coffee on a beautiful day? What more could you want?? ... Kakigori, that's what! I caved and got the strawberry kakigori and it ruled. Koyasan. Treats. Stunning views. Yeah! Also, nice selection of last minute omiyage if you regret not buying that one thing while you were in town. Okini!

This is the only restaurant in front of Koyasan Station, and the Kuzumochi set is delicious in the summer. Chilled zenzai is also delicious. This is a modern summer sweet that conveys the coolness of the summer mountains. There is also a wide selection of souvenirs from Mt. Koya, and as it is said to be a great summer resort that is 10 degrees cooler than Osaka, tourists often stop by.
