Koya, Wakayama, Japan｜Ima-chan

We had the Oyakodon with Miso soup, which was at least on par with a Michelin starred one we had in Tokyo, absolutely amazing. The new menu spicy Karaage was also great, as were the creamy crab croquettes. Obviously, the draft beer was delicious as well. The owner and staff were super friendly and upbeat, great atmosphere. Only sad we weren't more hungry and didn't get to try the sashimi. Hopefully we can be back one day to try it.

Had a lovely time here! Went in the evening with a group of five. We didn’t have a reservation but they were kind enough to let us in and then let us sit in a back room all to ourselves. It is raised floor seating which I love. You sit on cushions and have low tables. There is also a bar counter up front. The food and drinks were delicious! I loved the yakisoba and the chicken rice bowl. The umeshu was the best I’d had. The prices are a great deal for a variety of tasty choices :) The staff are all kind and friendly, really made it a wonderful experience all together. Can’t recommend enough!
