Simple yet delicious menu. Enjoyed a tasty taco plate. The two sisters who own and operate the establishment were wonderful host. I'll be back. Mucho gracias
It's a cafe that specializes in Mexican food, but the red lighting gives it a mysterious atmosphere (lol). The location is in Kita Ward, Kyoto City, right next to Misonobashi Bridge that spans Kamigamo Shrine. Even though it's called Mexican, the west coast of America is LA-style Mexican. It all started when the owner was shocked by the tacos he ate in his kitchen truck during a trip to LA. By chance, there were no other customers, so we had the seats on the second floor, which was like a hideaway in an attic, all to ourselves. Perhaps because it was a style that required you to take off your shoes, it felt so relaxing that you just wanted to lie down. There are so many menus that it's hard to get lost, but since I've always been a taco fan, I'll come here for anything. Comparing only the ingredients, I ordered two types: ``meat tacos (2 for 1000 yen)'' and ``Tex-Mex chicken tacos (2 for 1180 yen)''. Both of these were delicious in their own way. The spicy stir-fried meat, the homemade tortillas, and the crunchy vegetables toppings are all exquisite. I wish I could eat there every day.
