The garden and view from the dining room are spectacular. I ordered the roast beef and egg yolk on rice (with some nice fresh greens), and my wife had udon with gobo tempura, and the food was very tasty. The sukiyakidon also looked very tasty. Another unique Kyoto experience. Highly recommended.

The place amazing, the food delicious, the staff outstanding! This is a great place to come eat and relax a little in you Japanese trip, they have English menu and the staff always want to help!!!

We just bypass at their backyard and saw inside a beautiful garden next to dining place. From lunch menu they served udon. Give it a try and finally it did not disappoint us. The design of restaurant has set up tables facing the garden. Enjoy not only the high quality food but also amazing scenery of their garden. The udon quality is above standard but not surprised us. After a long walk in 南弹寺, we enjoyed so much the lunch here.
