Aisai, Aichi, Japan｜ごっち食堂

This is a store I've always wanted to go to after hearing about it from someone at work. The menu items I often hear about are tempura bowls and fried chicken, all of which I like, so I had high expectations even before I went there! It's expected to be crowded during lunch, so arrive almost as soon as it opens. Be the first to arrive! I had a hard time deciding between Kinshachi Tendon and fluffy fried chicken, but I ended up choosing Tendon by a close margin. There were no other customers, and the tempura bowl was brought to us before we had to wait long, so we ate it right away. With so much tempura on top, 800 yen is a good value. Among them, the cabbage tempura (which changes depending on the season) is my first time seeing it! Cabbage tempura is said to be a Hokkaido specialty. Other ingredients include 2 shrimp, eggplant, squid, and carrots. The amount of rice is 270g, so it was filling and satisfying for someone like me who likes to eat a lot! ︎ The rice is a little hard. The kimchi is not spicy and has a taste that I like. Even the after-dinner coffee is ground from the beans. Hot, iced, and cafe lattes are OK. It was a fun conversation, and there were no other customers, so before I knew it, I was there for just under an hour. I was told that if you make a lunch reservation the day before, they will serve chawanmushi, so next time I would like to make a reservation and try chawanmushi as well. It's been eight years since they moved from Nagoya to Aisai, and they've been working as a one-off restaurant, and now they have a restaurant that makes you look forward to what they'll try next. On a weekday afternoon, I was teleworking at home, so I went to Gotchi Shokudo in Aisai City for lunch with my wife. It was a shop that I had been interested in since I found it by car a while ago, but I was finally able to come. There are several parking lots a short distance from the store. The recommended Bikkuri Kinshachi Tendon (my wife, 750 yen including tax) is topped with shrimp tempura and plenty of tempura. I also got a bite, and it was crispy and delicious. The surprise fried chicken set meal (for me, 700 yen including tax) is 8 well-seasoned fried chicken, which is also very filling. Both come with a free large serving of rice and coffee after the meal. The generous portions of home-cooked food were delicious and reasonably priced. However, it is a one-off operation by the mother, so I have to wait a little while until the food comes out. On this day as well, I visited before 13:00 for lunch, but there were about 2 groups of customers ahead of me, so it took a while for the food to come out. We recommend going when you have time or staggering the time.

The miso stewed mackerel was so delicious! Even though it was difficult for me to work alone, it was a very pleasant shop with a smiley customer service.
