Tokoname, Aichi, Japan｜Shima

I've used it for lunch many times, and every time I always get the island set meal. The fried food, sashimi, and chawanmushi are all very delicious and I highly recommend this restaurant. I have brought my children with me, and they were able to let me sit in the tatami room in the back, which was very helpful. When I pay the bill, the owner of the store gives me candy, which always makes me feel happy until I leave the store. It's a wonderful shop.

Three people used it for lunch. It's a pretty store, so it might be a relatively new store. At first glance, it doesn't look like a restaurant since there's just a small signboard on the outside, but there were a few tall bushes standing there, so you could spot it. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm and luxurious, and it feels like it can be used for small banquets as well. The lunch menu ranged from set meals for around 1,000 yen to gozen meals for around 3,000 yen. On this day, I ordered Tendon (¥1,400). It's nice to see a large conger eel towering over the sky. The tempura is marinated in sauce from the beginning, but it has a wonderfully crispy texture without being sticky. However, the tempura sauce was too sweet. I don't know if adding more sugar helps maintain the crispiness, but the last part felt a little too sweet, so I think it would be even better if the sweetness could be reduced. The seasoning was generally a little strong, but it was delicious. I'm glad that coffee is provided after the meal. The customer service from the store was very good. The cost performance is good, so I would like to try other menu items. There are parking spaces on both sides of the store.

It seems that there is no daily lunch set menu on Sundays, but I think they have plenty of lunch options on other menus as well. I received the island set meal for 1,350 yen. Two fried shrimp and fried horse mackerel. Two types of sashimi and a small bowl of stew. Pickles and chawanmushi. It came with rice and miso soup, and everything was delicious. I was satisfied with the variety of food I could eat. When I come to Chita, I would like to stop by again and try other menu items.
