Chiryu, Aichi, Japan｜Tsutsumiya

It's an eel restaurant located in an inconspicuous place, but the food was very delicious. I ordered the long grilled set meal and the grilled liver. The eel is not too sweet and the soy sauce is not too spicy, giving it the best flavor. It went perfectly with the fluffy grilled eel. The parking lot is a little far away, but they kindly let us know and the customer service is courteous.

I came to Chiryu, where my mother's parents live, for the first time in a while to visit relatives. Whenever I came to Chiryu, I always looked forward to eating eel at Imagawaya, but it seemed like it was closed, so I searched for it online and came to this restaurant. My wife said she had never eaten eel, so I ordered eel. As shown in the photo, it came with liver soup and chawanmushi. The eel is perfectly grilled and plump. I remember that Imagawaya's eel had a more crunchy texture. It looks similar to Kansai eel. I like eel from Gifu and Aichi, so I was a little disappointed. but it was delicious. We had coffee after the meal. It wasn't listed on the menu, but I wonder if it was originally included, or maybe they offered it to me since lunch comes with coffee. Unfortunately, the parking lot location was not displayed outside the store. I thought there was no parking lot, so I parked at a nearby paid parking lot, and when I entered the store, I saw the location of the parking lot written inside. I wish it would have been posted outside for people coming by car. Revisited at 12:00 on Saturday, January 7, 2023. I knew from my previous visit that there was a parking lot, but I didn't know where it was, so I asked the store staff. For parking, walk along the road in front of the store on the opposite side of the tracks, and once you pass the stop, you can find parking at numbers 16 to 19 next to New Crown on the right (see photo).
