This family has been living in the area for 14 generations, and the most recent generation is one of the first local farmers to take up organic farming, in this case to raise free range chickens. Accordingly the eggs are delicious. The overall meal is a standard Japanese array of small savory dishes each made almost entirely from scratch, the exception being the occasional use of store-bought mayonnaise, which is OK considering that they are the number one egg supplier to the mayonnaise producer.
