I reached my destination with navigation. Even if it was announced, I passed by without knowing the place. If you go back slowly, you will find Ikata Shokudo! It was around 12:40 and the waiting time was about 15 minutes. A really hideaway old folk house dining room The staff are all very nice, and the menu is a card, which is full of excitement from the moment you choose. It was so delicious. See you again! It is a shop that I would like to visit.

Monday, May 15, 2023 11:00 It's a popular restaurant and I had marked it for a while, but there was always a long line, so I decided to visit for the first time on a weekday when I had a day off. Arrived a few minutes before opening. The parking lot has about 10 cars in parallel. It's quite difficult to get in and out, so if you have room when entering, it's better to go in backwards. There are about 3 pairs on the board already. Write your name and wait near the entrance. By the way, you can also wait in your car. Entered the store on the first turn when it opened. There are about 5 tables and 5 counter seats. The menu consists of about 10 set meals. I chose the "Chicken Nanban Set Meal" (1,200 yen including tax), which I had been eyeing for a while because it looked delicious. For the sauce, try "Beef Garlic Rice" (1,200 yen including tax). The food arrived in about 20 minutes. Chicken nanban is voluminous, but has a surprisingly gentle flavor. Is delicious. Tsure's beef garlic rice is also rich and delicious. After the meal, I had an affogato (550 yen including tax), which was also delicious. With quiet music and a calm atmosphere, it's no wonder there are so many fans. The minus point is the toilet. Once in the garden, I found a dirty temporary structure set up outside. Women are concerned. And it was raining, so I got wet. It's a popular restaurant so it's hard to go if you don't have time, but the menu seems to be changing, so I'd like to go again. By the way, the mapo that the person next to me was eating was very filling, so I guess that's what I'll have next. Thank you for the meal.

2023-05 South of Inzai City. This is an old private restaurant located on the side of the prefectural road heading towards Inbanuma. I used it for the first time for lunch on Saturday during Golden Week. I had been interested in this restaurant based on online reviews, but it was said that it was very crowded on Saturdays and Sundays, so I had a hard time going there. On this day, I left home early by car and arrived at 10:35, much earlier than the store's opening at 11:00. I thought it was too early, but there was already one customer's car in front of me. After that, more and more cars started coming in, and by about 10:50, before the store opened, it was full. There are about 10 parking spaces in front of the building, but you have to park diagonally on a long, narrow lot, and the parking space is narrow, so it can be a bit difficult when it's crowded. If you can confirm that there is space, it may be better to back up from the entrance on the prefectural road side. Once you park your car, write your name and car number on the waiting list paper at the entrance of the store and wait until you are called. Since we were the second ones, we waited in the car until the store opened, and when we were called at 10 o'clock, we were able to enter the store right away. The shop is not an old folk house style, but a real old folk house. The dining room building itself has no ceiling panels under the roof, and the floor is made of old concrete, so I think it was probably originally a farmer's barn or warehouse, rather than a residence. There are seven square tables inside the restaurant. It's basically about the size for two people, but it can accommodate three people. I feel like it might be a bit impossible for four people. There were probably 3 or 4 people at the counter. We sat at a table in the back and looked at the menu. The menu includes many chicken side dishes, such as fried chicken, chicken teriyaki, chicken nanban, and yu lin chi. Other items like tonteki, ginger grilled meat, gapao rice, mapo tofu, and mapo eggplant cost around 1,000 to 1,500 yen. There were a lot of reviews online about mapo tofu and mapo eggplant, so I ordered the ``Mapo eggplant set meal 1100 yen'' and the ``Yu Lingjii set meal 1200 yen.'' It seems that the customers around me also ordered a lot of mapo eggplant and fried chicken. In about 10 minutes, the oil and chicken set meal came first. What does it look like? Hmm, I wonder what it looks like? There is no particular impact, it is just a normal oil and chicken. Chickens aren't that big either. The taste was delicious, but it wasn't anything special and was very average. I've heard that the rice is delicious because it's run by a rice farm, but the rice is just average. The miso soup has a lot of vegetables and the miso is a mild white miso that is delicious. The pickles don't have the taste of umami seasonings and are just delicious. Next came the mapo eggplant set meal. This is not on a flat plate, but in a bowl, and at first glance it's quite large. The woman who brought the food said, ``If there's too much, we'll prepare a pack to take home.'' As for the taste, yeah, this is delicious. It's piping hot, just the right amount of spiciness, has a rich flavor, and is filled with large pieces of eggplant. It also contains ground meat and tofu, making it filling and goes well with rice. We shared both side dishes and were full. I was told that I could have another helping of rice, but I was full from just the side dishes (mainly mapo eggplant). The amount of mapo eggplant was amazing, but the oil and chicken was just average. Overall, it wasn't extremely delicious, but it tasted like home-cooked food that was carefully prepared, and it had a 5-star rating, including the atmosphere of a real old folk house. My wife was also satisfied with the mapo eggplant, but she said, ``It's a shame that the salad dressing wasn't homemade, but store-bought Southern. Also, the toilet was ✕✕✕✕✕.'' By the time we finished eating and left the restaurant, the last customer who had ordered after the opening time had not yet received their food, so it may take quite a while depending on the timing of your order. People came into the parking lot one after another from the empty parking lot, and it seems to be a very popular store. On Saturdays and Sundays, it might be better to go before they open, or conversely, go outside the lunchtime peak.
