Delicious tonkatsu and amazing interior!

Visited 2023.6.18. After visiting my father's grave in the morning, I drove a little and visited [Okamoto] in Shirako-cho for the first time. Looking at the attractive menu board, both husband and wife ordered "Roast and shrimp fried + set meal (perilla rice / red soup)" Picked the last new ball of the season, picked takana pickles, and pickled cucumbers with sweet and sour ginger. After a while, the food arrived, and when I took a bite of the loin cutlet, the fat was sweet, the meat was soft, and I was able to fully enjoy the umami. Completely eaten! ︎The rice mixed with shiso was also a good accent with a refreshing scent, and I was able to enjoy a highly satisfying lunch😆

I've been using it for over 30 years. Since moving to Chiba City, I can eat pork cutlet at Okamotoan in Chiba City and Funabashi, but the steak can only be tasted here, so I stop by every time I go there. The tender (fillet) here is an absolute bargain. I liked the way it was wrapped in old-fashioned bacon. Also, the meal with shiso rice, pickles, and red soup stock is the best.
