Togane, Chiba, Japan｜Chabozu

I really love this restaurant. It's all homemade style Japanese meals, and the atmosphere is really special. All the menus are handwritten in Japanese, which admittedly is hard for me to read, but the amount of choices is great. I recommend the chashu donburi. It's like teriyaki flavored pork belly slices piled on thinly sliced cabbage and rice. You can get anything as a set too, with other without sashimi. There is surely something for everyone here.

It looks old, but it's along the national highway, so it's easy to get into, and there are quite a few people. All the menus are handwritten and each menu has one menu written on it, making it easy to read but interesting🤣 It feels like a set meal restaurant with large portions and frequented by men and students. There is usually a tatami room where you take off your shoes, and some counter seats. It's delicious and filling, so if you're at a loss for food in Togane, we recommend this place. The grilled pork that was sold during New Year's was also very delicious.

It was my first visit, but the atmosphere was nice and I had a delicious meal. There are so many menus that you will be spoiled for choice. I ordered the garlic set meal (mega) and it was really delicious. I also ordered one item of fried eggplant, which was also exquisite. I would like to go eat there again.
