More Comments at Google MapI wanted to eat Jiro-style food for the first time in a while, so I drove about 2 hours from south of Ibaraki Prefecture to the main store. Even though it was 20 minutes before closing for lunch, the tables were full and I was lucky to be able to sit at the counter. The kitchen was staffed by three people, one man and two women, and their coordinated play and bright and courteous customer service were very impressive. I ordered a large butamen + pork bowl. The topping is less garlic and better vegetable. The noodles are slightly thick, weighing just under 300g, and when you scoop up the noodles, the aroma of flour fills your nose and whets your appetite. The noodles themselves were not wrinkled and were almost straight, so they slipped smoothly into my mouth. Although it was mixed soba, it had a lot of juice and liquid oil, so it stayed piping hot until the end and was delicious. After I finished eating the noodles, I made some sardine soup and drank it, which made me feel even more satisfied. The split soup was quite hot and I was warned that if I tried to drink it all at once, I would burn my tongue!
Jiro-inspired ramen from a mixed soba specialty store. It's the same price as small and medium. Ordered a medium portion of Mazesoba (vegetables, garlic, oil, and karame) There seem to be 5 stores in total besides the Oami store, and the taste is satisfying. Finish off the meal with Kujukuri sardine soup for a delicious drink. The water tastes good after drinking it (lol) They also have point cards, so it's fun to go to this store and I highly recommend it.
I ordered a medium sized serving of pork noodles, lots of green onions (200 yen), and a raw egg. It looks like an immoral gourmet food, and even though it feels immoral when you actually eat it, it's delicious. I was told that raw eggs are best eaten by pickling them like sukiyaki, so I tried it myself. Definitely delicious, recommended. There are a variety of free toppings (tenkasu, pickled ginger, etc.) and seasonings (soy sauce, gochu, olive oil, etc.), so you can enjoy different flavors. The staff is friendly and pleasant, and it's a store you'll want to visit again.
