Oamishirasato, Chiba, Japan｜Denny's

The first time I visited Denny's in Japan was in Narita about 20 years ago and I hated it. Strange open seating design, everybody was smoking and the menu had nothing to do with Denny's...basically everything looked like a cheap bento displayed on a plate. I tried the Tomisato location 5 years later and it was about the same, but instead of the entire restaurant being smoker friendly, there was a smoking section. Still too smokey for a "family" restaurant. I swore off Denny's until last year when I visited the Asahi location. Amazing! I tried this Togane location today and again, Amazing! The menu is fun, interesting and priced just right for lunch; more options on set combinations and portion sizes and there's more of a private seating layout compared to the old terrible food court style open seating layout. I have no idea why they got rid of drip coffee. Those coffee machines don't compare. Sacrificing taste for convenience is not the way to go.

Tasty food, friendly staff!!!!

It feels a little more luxurious than other family restaurants. The inside of the store was also calm and quieter than the surrounding Gust. Although the price is a little higher, it is recommended when you want to relax and enjoy your meal.
