Choshi, Chiba, Japan｜久里波志

Had a great meal! The shop owners allowed my group to enter despite it was a little earlier than their opening time. The portions were delicious, but huge, we ordered one plate each and some to share and it felt equivalent to two meals… really tasty! They had some vegetarian options such as the soba set with vegetable sushi. Thanks for such a great meal!

If you take National Route 356 towards Sawara from downtown Choshi, you will see a one-story shop in the middle of a rural landscape. There aren't many stores around, and there's no guarantee what will happen next. It was open even though it was just after 2pm, which was an odd time. I parked my car at 🅿️ next to the entrance and entered the store. There are several counter seats and tables in the tatami room. There are no other customers besides us. Is your wife healthy? served me cold tea. When I looked at the menu, I realized that the great value lunch was only available until 2pm, so I gave up and ordered the Grand Menu, Kami Sushi Zen and Kurinami Shizen. Kuriha Shizen has crispy shrimp tempura, and the shrimp inside is plump and delicious! The shrimp are big and great! The tuna bowl also had fresh tuna that went perfectly with the warm rice underneath, and I finished it in no time. Also, the chawanmushi was piping hot and had a strong flavor, making it suitable for a Japanese meal. Good cost performance!

I searched for a nearby restaurant at Rainbow Golf Course and went there. I don't want to eat dinner at the golf course. It takes about 30 minutes on foot. The owner was friendly and the food was delicious. I was so grateful that they gave me a ride on the way back!! If you are at the golf course, be sure to stop by. Highly recommended!
