Toba, Mie, Japan｜食堂 あun

On the last day of my 3-day weekend, I wanted to have a late lunch before driving home for 3 hours from Spain Village, so I searched for a lunch spot on Google and discovered Shokudo Aun. When I went there, as the rumors had said, the attentive proprietress was there, and she was kind to even the first-time visitor, who was a group of seven people. Thank you very much! I ate grilled oyster curry, fried oysters, and cheese omelet rice, and they were all delicious! Next time I want to try other things like hamburgers!

Visited during lunch time in mid-June 2021. I found this shop just before getting off the Ise-Shima Skyline and heading down Pearl Road. At lunchtime, you get free refills on rice, miso soup, and salad. In particular, the salads are of a high standard as you can choose from over 5 types of vegetables. The price is also reasonable at 750 yen to 950 yen 👍 The food is delicious, and you can enjoy your meal in a relaxed, homely atmosphere. Recommended for people who want to eat a lot and are concerned about nutritional balance! There are about 3 parking spaces in front of the store. The store staff are bright and energetic, and it's a great store!

Aun from Toba has been something I've been curious about for some time. I thought it would be a normal diner, but it was even better than I expected! I highly recommend it. Fortunately, lunch was a 720 yen buffet with rice, pork soup, salad, and pickles. Moreover, you can choose from 12 types of main side dishes! (I have uploaded a photo of the menu, so please take a look there) There is a wide variety of options such as hamburgers, fried shrimp, grilled chicken thighs with miso, etc. ``I ordered chicken breast Nanban style,'' and my companion ordered ``Stir-fried beef hormones with garlic.'' I've heard a lot about him, but he's very particular about all ingredients, from rice to eggs to oil. What's more, it looks like they took a lot of time and effort to prepare the chicken breast, and the chicken breast I received was so fluffy, soft and flavorful that I couldn't believe it was actually breast meat. It was said that it was prepared using yuzu vinegar. I found a really nice shop. I can’t believe there is a restaurant in Toba where you can enjoy such a delicious lunch! I want to keep going until I have conquered all 12 types of lunch. Also, the homemade pudding that you can take home is definitely recommended. Impressive deliciousness. There seems to be a limited number of them, so if you can find them, definitely buy them!
