Great experience. Mainly deals with Matsusaka beef that is famous not only in Mie prefecture but all over Japan . My course had a boeuf bourgignon style entree, soup, steak, rice, and dessert. Every dish tasted exceptional, and you could really tell that they worked hard on getting the best ingredients. The steak included in my meal was not a traditional part to be used for a steak like sirloin or something, but they tasted just as good to my surprise. Afterwards you could choose one from white rice, garlic fried rice and beef keema curry. I am not a fan of eating beef and rice together but their garlic fried rice was soooooo good, although I would have preferred if there were no shiso leaves inside. (They ask you beforehands whether or not to put them in, and I didn’t know that they had such a strong scent) Dessert was a panna cotta with berries. All these high quality menus for just 5000 yen ? I am down. I am not sure how much a dinner would cost but.. you know you can’t get this quality Matsusaka beef near any price like this in Tokyo. One thing to keep in mind is that this is 100% reservation based restaurant. So better make the call now :) loved it

The goal is the golden cow along the road. I used it for lunch Lunch course is 6,000 yen including tax (100g of meat) You can add 50g for 10g for 500 yen, so I added 50g. The food was of course delicious, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and I thought it would be a good choice for a special meal such as an anniversary.

I visited this restaurant because it is directly managed by Nakao Chikusan, which boasts the number one breeding head of Matsusaka beef and has won numerous awards. The Matsusaka beef served at the restaurant is said to be special, and it is true that the simple seasoning, rather than the rich sauce, brings out the umami of the meat. There is a shop like this in Tsu, and I am grateful that it is easy to go.
