Komono, Mie, Japan｜COMMON food & drink

This is a delightful little place. We went here to try the venison burger (among other things) and it was definitely worth the trip. The food was prepared and presented with great care, and the flavours of both the game meat and locally sourced fish were simply exquisite. We went there almost at closing time so we were the only people there, but the atmosphere inside was home-y, also in part because of the pleasant Australian gentlemen who served and chatted with us. Overall a fulfilling dining experience. I'll be in Yokkaichi again next year, and hope to make time to come and see you then!

Beautiful new cafe that opened last June 2019! Owned and run by a lovely couple who used to be based at Melbourne. They have an ever-changing menu with ingredients sourced locally and imported from Australia. The service is excellent, the food is superb and they even offer Vietnamese coffee! It is easily accessible from Obane train station - just a few minutes walk away. It is a must-go-to cafe and a definite gem in Komono's cafe scene.

Gourmet burger options, made with local ingredients and care. Interesting teas from Australia. Crispy onion rings are delicious. Must try beignets! Overall highly recommend.
