Yokkaichi, Mie, Japan｜Kobutanoie

On our way to a nearby ryokan, we dropped in for lunch after minimal research into interesting looking restaurants along the way. It was a Wednesday, so bear that in mind as a weekend experience would most likely be very different. Put simply, this place does the best pork I’ve had in Japan. Presumably they use their own livestock (the restaurant is owned and run by a nearby pig farm). There’s quite a variety on the menu, but I went for a pork steak in a tonteki sauce while my partner went for something similar with onion sauce. While you wait for the meals, there’s a drinks bar and salad bar - which actually includes technically unlimited miso nikomi pork as well as the usual lettuce and tomato. This is a big plus! The meals came out quick and the staff were friendly and eager to explain the menu. We left full and happy, having spent about 2500 each all in. That’s a big fat well deserved five stars here.

Haven't had such a nice lunch in a long time. Even though I came to the store at 14:00 when it was close to closing time, I was greeted pleasantly. I was very impressed with the food and it was delicious. Thank you to the short cut female staff.

I like the hamburger here, which also has a pig farm, so I visited Lipi! It was an hour before the end of dinner, but they let me in comfortably! Daisukeyaki for 3 people 300g 2220yen Demi-glace cheeseburger ¥1,530 Tomato cheese hamburger 1530 yen I asked! The sub here is also delicious! Salad bar and braised pork or hijiki Pork miso soup Free rice refills! Pork soup is a lot of ingredients Just that alone makes me full lol! The simmered pork was soft and the flavor of the pork was delicious😋 I'm really satisfied because it also comes with dessert! The hamburger was also juicy and demi-glace was the best! They also have tonkatsu, so I wanted to go eat some tonkatsu next time!
