Every time I visit Japan, I come here at least once for a meal. I must have eaten here at least 18 times over the last 12 years. It's a 40 minute drive from where I stay, basically in the middle of nowhere. It's always quiet when I walk in, with one or two other customers at most. This is not a rowdy izakaya. Instead it's a high quality French restaurant in the Hokuseicho countryside. The last time I was here, our group had a really good lunch. The salad and soup were superb, along with the beef and pork dishes. However, the fish dish was a touch dry and the creme brulee we had for dessert had a crust that was too thin. So it wasn't perfect. But overall it was a delicious meal, with some dishes bordering on the sublime. Well worth a trip into the countryside outside Kuwana. Just make sure if you order red wine that they can serve it at room temprrature...

My husband and I enjoy weekday lunch once every two or three months. Vegetables, meat, and fish are all really delicious. It has a gentle seasoning that allows you to enjoy the ingredients, but it's not bland by any means, and perhaps because the ingredients are carefully prepared, you can eat the vegetables as they are. They serve seasonal ingredients, so if you visit often, you'll be able to enjoy the differences even more.

I had the lunch B course. You can be satisfied with appetizers, soups, fish and meat. Appetizers are beautifully arranged and the sauce under the vegetables is good. Mita Beef shoulder loin main, meat, of course, wine-flavored sauce and 3 kinds of vegetable sauce added depth to the taste. Loved the burdock sauce.
