Ise, Mie, Japan｜Maruhama

This was a little restaurant just inside past a gift shop right before the walk to the nearby shrine. Staff were lovely. Shout out to the hero mum with her baby in it's baby harness who was running the cash registers. Great food, beer and sake from the local area

I stopped by when I came to Futami Koshidama Shrine to worship. I ordered a set of tuna whitebait bowl and Ise udon, and Matsusaka beef Ise udon. There is a wide variety of tuna, from lean to fatty. The whitebait is also very satisfying. The serving size is better than it looks in the menu photo. The Ise udon was much better than the one I had at Okage Yokocho a few years ago. However, I like it more firm, so I can't really say. The Matsusaka beef Ise udon was also delicious. This is a reasonably priced restaurant with an extensive menu.

I visited the store before 9 o'clock on New Year's Day and ordered Matsuzaka beef Ise udon. The thick and soft udon noodles with a flavor that can not be tasted in the Kanto region were very delicious. It was cold to see the first sunrise of the year, so my body warmed up.
