Iwakuni, Yamaguchi, Japan｜Sakura-no-chaya

A very small, homely restaurant with a nice atmosphere. There is an English menu with pictures so even with no Japanese under your belt, you can have an easy ordering experience. The wait staff don't speak English, though. The service is fast and the water refills are self-serve. Fair prices for large serving sizes. I ordered the Iwakuni Lotus Root Noodles and it was around 9 dollars (990 yen). My friend ordered a Katsudon for the same price. The view of Iwakuni castle is beautiful and its only a short walk from Kintaikyo!

I had a set meal of Iwakuni sushi. It was very delicious. The Chaya parfait I ordered additionally was also good. The staff at the store were also very kind. I would definitely like to go again.

After visiting Kintaikyo Bridge and Iwakuni Castle, I wanted to find something to eat. The store I found by accident was a short distance away from the shopping street, so the environment was relatively clean. The meal was very delicious! The price is very affordable! Each set meal comes with refreshments and fruits, which is really a great deal! The Tang Yang Chicken set meal has a generous portion of meat and is really satisfying after the meal! Over push, over push! The environment in the store is comfortable, air-conditioned and cold, the distance between tables is large, and the table top is large. There is a large glass in the store to watch the mountain view (cable car) while dining. Recommended to dine~~ Like 👍
