More Comments at Google MapThis famous restaurant is known for its dishes that utilize a variety of miso. This restaurant is known for its impressive and delicious variety of dishes that use carefully selected miso from all over the country. I think it would be a good idea to start by trying a combination of fresh organic/pesticide-free vegetables and homemade miso. Each type of miso has its own characteristics, so you'll want to try them all. I was particularly impressed by the deliciousness of the miso tandan nabe and saikyo-yaki (flounder on the day). Not only was the miso delicious, but the deliciousness of the ingredients and the way they were used were also wonderful, and I was surprised when I ate the dishes. All of the dishes made with locally produced chicken and pork were extremely delicious, even those that didn't feature miso. Each dish goes well with sake, so both the drinks and the conversation go well. This is a popular store run by a small number of employees, so we recommend making a reservation before visiting. I think the way you view miso will change after eating here.
I visited for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived just before 12:00 and there was one group waiting, but we were let in within 5 minutes. You can't see inside from the outside, so if it's your first time, you might be worried about what you're doing...I'm glad there was someone waiting outside. The inside of the restaurant is small, with 4 seats at a table (tatami room) and 4 seats at the counter (only 2 seats are allowed). I'm glad they have lunch even on Sundays. Recommended dishes are Jiyotori and Motsuni. I ordered the miso offal stew set meal for ¥800. I had never eaten giblets as a main dish, so I was a little nervous as I waited, and it arrived within a few minutes. This price also comes with salad and soup!? Amazing... The bowl is said to be designed to make it easy to put motsuni on top (easier?). I ate it as is for a while, wondering if there was a way to eat giblets boiled in that way. It's true that there are plenty of different types of giblets, so you can enjoy the different tastes and textures, but the taste is really delicious to begin with. Toward the end, I tried dipping the soup into the rice, which was also delicious. I like it much better than the boiled offal that I used to buy at the butcher shop. I heard that you can also take out Motsuni without eating in the restaurant, so I think I'll give you a call next time. Lastly, it seems like it's a popular store, so the staff are very efficient. Some people may feel pressured.
Since moving to Toride, whenever I am asked about a delicious Japanese restaurant and izakaya, I always go here. The store sells miso, but whatever you order, it's delicious. Lunch is also great value for money, and you can also enjoy arajiru soup◎ The squid liver hotpot I had in the winter was so delicious I'll never forget it, so if they do it again this year, I'd like to visit again.
