More Comments at Google MapIf you want to eat delicious mapo tofu, this is the place! Let's go here! This is a shop. You can enjoy delicious mapo tofu without any compliments. Recommended to go for lunch. I ordered a set of mapo bowl, 3 gyoza, and soup. For lunch, you can choose mapo bowl or dandan noodles (with half rice), and the price will vary depending on whether it comes with 3, 5, or no gyoza. Another great point is that you can choose the spiciness of both the mapo tofu and dandan noodles. By the way, this set is 1250 yen. There are various individual items available, but the prices are high. But they all look delicious. Mapo tofu combines the gentle flavor of plump tofu with the strong flavor of mapo, and goes perfectly with rice. It's not that spicy. I think it was more effective in the past, but it was almost 5 years ago so my memory is hazy💦 In any case, if you come here, you will definitely be able to enjoy Sichuan cuisine that will satisfy you.
Studied under Mr. Chen Kenmin and worked at "Sichuan Hanten" for 22 years before opening. Machi-chuka, loved by locals, has been selected as one of the top 100 Chinese restaurants, and is a well-known restaurant with reliable deliciousness. I went to "Kumufu Hanten" in Moriya City, Ibaraki Prefecture, visiting popular shops in the northwestern Chiba and southern areas of Ibaraki Prefecture along the Tsukuba Express, an area where the population is increasing. A restaurant that is attracting attention after being selected as one of the 100 Chinese restaurants in 2023. The owner, Mr. Kaoru Nagakura, studied under Mr. Kenmin Chen, the father of “Iron Chef” Kenichi Chen, when he launched “Sichuan Hanten Alpha” in Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture, and worked as the head chef for 22 years. After that, I opened "Kumufu Hanten" in this place using the vacant store of the ramen shop. When you enter the shop, it is full of the atmosphere of town Chinese. It is a friendly and easy-to-enter shop that does not have a sense of luxury. When I got to my seat and looked at the drink menu, the alcohol menu was quite weak without my favorite Premol and Yamazaki Highball. So I received one pot of "Oolong tea" and two bowls. I think that it is quite reasonable because you can drink many cups for 360 yen. I ordered the following. Shrimp Chili: I don't like spicy food, so I kept the spiciness to a minimum. It's a fragrant and delicious shrimp chili. Mapo tofu ... This was also moderately spicy, so it was quite easy to eat. Order the “rice”, which is specially cultivated rice with low pesticides, and eat it with Gohan, it is really delicious. Personally, I would have liked to have something that was spicy and spicy, but it was really delicious mapo tofu. Twist pot meat ... This was ordered with normal spiciness, but it was spiciness that could be eaten at all. As for this, I'm used to the double-cooked meat at "Kohien" in Roppongi, so it wasn't good enough. Delicious food that surpasses the level of street Chinese food continues, followed by "Gyoza". Dumplings: The skin was crispy on the grilled surface without sauce, and it was soft, and the bean paste inside was delicious. The dumplings were so delicious that I ordered another one. In addition, we ordered “Kagoshima black pork fried rice” with “Shomai” in between. Kagoshima black pork fried rice ... The sweetness of the black pork fat spread throughout, combined with the flavor of black pepper. It was really good Chinese food. On the way back, Mr. Kaoru Nagakura, the owner and chef, came out to say hello and politely said hello and saw us off. He has a low waist and a warm personality. It was a very good shop.
This shop has been on my mind lately. Before I knew it, it became one of Tabelog's top 100 restaurants. I had known about its existence for a while, but to be honest, I didn't think the parking lot was crowded, so I didn't notice it until the Chinese food craze hit. Visited for lunch before 12:30 on a weekday. There were 4 people in the store including me. It's not a small shop though... I ordered Mabo-don (with soup) for ¥950. It's quite spicy, so do you want to adjust the spiciness? I asked him, but I asked him to leave it as is. It was written in the reviews that he trained under Mr. Chen Ken-min with Mr. Ken-ichi Chen, but is there Mr. Ken-ichi Chen's writings on the wall? There was also a display of photos taken together. I'm kind of saddened by the news of his death just last month. ...and the all-important mapo bowl. Mapo tofu looks delicious! But I'm also curious about the soup. I've never really seen egg soup before, but the eggs are so beautifully uniform. Slices of young corn look like flowers and are wonderful. I'm also happy that the soup set has so many ingredients. It was a delicious soup with a gentle flavor. Personally, I found the mapo bowl to be exquisitely spicy. It had a good balance of spiciness and numbness, and was very delicious with an authentic taste. The balance with the soup is just right. I don't know why this restaurant is empty, but from my point of view it's a good thing, so I'll definitely come back again. I think I'll try the Dandan noodles next time.
