More Comments at Google MapThe place strikes me as the quintessential Japanese Izakaya, if somewhat more modern in it's decor. It's a small, cozy place run by an amazing owner and chef, and with incredibly friendly and talkative customers. The food, especially the wasabi ovenbaked-chicken, is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is friendly, even jovial if you join in the good conversations (allusion to Last Samurai intended), and everyone is just intent on having a good time -- owner included. I was afraid the place would be somewhat cold, or at least indifferent to a foreigner such as myself, but everyone quickly warmed up and I was soon in the middle of all the conversations -- had half through our combination of bad English and poor Japanese, and half through Google Translate. Even the owner joined in with his smartphone a couple times. I don't know the prices in izakayas generally enough to comment, but I can say I had a 4-hour evening of moderate eating and plenty of drinking for just 3700-ish yen, which I consider completely worth it. Especially when you add in the excellent company and amazing atmosphere! Anyone stopping in or passing through the broad area (and I include Tsukubumirai-shi, Moriya-shi, Bando-shi, and Joso-shi in that) should stop by.
This place attract me ..Nice food. Nice Atmosphere
I ate a set meal of Brikama! It's so good❗️ It's not expensive either. I already want to eat again lol I'm curious about other menu items. There are many types of sake, including Japanese sake and shochu. I couldn't drink because I had a car. There are 6 seats at the counter, 3 tables and 18 people. It's not wide. The location of the shop is in a back alley and is inconspicuous. If you don't try to go to this shop, you can't go, it's a shop you won't notice. There are places where 4 cars (1, 2, 3, 5) can be parked. Parking lot next to the shop. Easy to stop. I came across a good shop. I'm happy. I would like to come again!
