Kasama, Ibaraki, Japan｜ランチ＆カフェ陶之助プラス

Used for lunch when sightseeing in Kasama. I didn't have a reservation, so I lined up just before the store opened, but the store soon filled up. We ordered a variety of dishes for our family of 5 and they were all delicious. All lunches are based on home-cooked dishes that make use of local vegetables, but the taste of handiwork that takes time and effort comes alive. I could make it at home if I worked hard, but the taste was a notch above normal home cooking. The food comes out slowly, so it's not suitable for those who want to eat in a hurry, but it's great for a leisurely meal. There were various kinds of desserts, and we all ordered different ones and shared them, but they were all delicious. I especially liked the yuzu roll. Cakes seem to change with the season, so this time it was summer, but I would like to visit again in autumn and winter. The inside of the store is casually partitioned so as not to feel oppressive, and the atmosphere is great. The Kasama ware used was also good. I will go again.

We entered as a group and ordered a char siu bowl (a lunch), a tororo bowl (b lunch), a curry and a soup lunch and tasted it. All were very delicious. The char siu has a fragrant scent and seems to be roasted later. The tororo had a delicious soup stock and went well with black rice. The curry was very delicious with the fried summer vegetables. The soup was minestrone, and the crisp lotus root was delicious. Overall, I thought the vegetable dishes were delicious. You will be full by the time you finish eating the set desserts and drinks. The service and atmosphere are also very good.

I visited after 14:00 on a weekday. The coffee served in Kasama-yaki pottery was also exceptional. The interior of the store was also stylish and tasteful.
