In July 2023, I visited the food court "Aburiyaki Don Don" in the Tomobe service area (outbound) of the Joban Expressway. There are pork bowls, sauce cutlet bowls, and green onion bowls, but I chose the large portion of pork bowl. I got it with mayonnaise topping. I think the price was a little over 1000 yen. During the long trip, I was able to replenish my energy with a delicious pork bowl.

There were about 3 customers in the food court at around 9pm, so the tables were empty. I couldn't choose the handmade soba restaurant Hitachian because it closed at 9pm, so I had three choices in the food court: ramen ``Menya Murariki'', udon ``Sato no Udon Usagiya'', and ``broiled yakidon/don''. I looked at each store's menu and was drawn to the pop of curry udon (with croissant), so when I pressed the ticket vending machine for this menu, it didn't respond... My partner had a large tondon bowl with 8 pieces of pork belly, a large serving of rice, miso soup, and pickled vegetables (1,070 yen). You can see them grilling each piece one by one after receiving your order! When I saw it being grilled, it looked so delicious that I regretted that the tondon was also good. After about 5 minutes of waiting, the number was called. I got a slice from my partner's tondon and when I ate it, I regretted it even more because the pork belly wrapped in the special sauce and the aroma of the grilled meat was so delicious. I recommend the tondon! You can choose the number of pieces of meat in your tondon (medium size) with 6 pieces, ``large size'' with 8 pieces, or ``Tsukubasan'' with 16 pieces, so please choose according to your stomach.
