The noodles are thick, so I wonder if it has that chewy feel you get at Inaka Soba. No, it's firm. Both the texture and aroma are delicious! Not only is the soba good, but the soup is also delicious. Neither the sweet type nor the strong soy sauce type, but the type with a rich bonito flavor. The mellow flavor of the soba noodles spreads in your mouth, creating an exceptionally pleasurable feeling.

It was delicious! I researched word of mouth beforehand and tried it, but I was very satisfied with the mini tempura bowl and soba set, the kakiage soba, and the mushroom tempura soba.

Hearing the voice of October, it feels like we are finally relieved of the summer heat. ``It's about time for some warm Kenchin soba,'' I thought, so I headed out to Sobakiri Kuzo in Shirosato Town. This soba restaurant is located right next to (in front of) the roadside station Katsura on National Route 123 from Mito towards Hitachiomiya. (Please note that the shop is located on a hill and is a bit difficult to find from the road (there are signs along the road). The "vegetable tempori" I ordered was delicious. The soba noodles are a little thicker in the style of country soba noodles, with a good texture and aroma, and go perfectly with the soba soup that has a good dashi stock. Furthermore, the tempura is exquisite! . The sweet potato was fluffy, the pumpkin and eggplant were melty, the Manganji chili pepper (I wonder if it was a long, thin green pepper-like vegetable cut vertically into tempura) was fragrant, and the kakiage was crispy. By the way, the "Warm Kenchin Soba" that I was looking for unfortunately hasn't started yet (I think it's a winter menu), but I'll save it for next time, or rather I'll be looking forward to it (as expected) It takes more than 2 hours by car, so I would like to visit again (I tend to be lazy unless I have some kind of reason for it). Ah, that's right. There are 3 cats (2 black, 1 calico) near the parking lot (they are said to be the store's pet cats). The cats are very friendly (all three will let you pet them), but please be careful as they run energetically around the parking lot and crawl under parked cars.
