Hitachinaka, Ibaraki, Japan｜Hamaguriya

I had heard about this restaurant on a TV program some time ago, and of course I made a reservation because it was a restaurant I wanted to visit at least once. Since this is a clam specialty store, the ingredients are impeccable and the cooking is flawless. This is a store I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

The food, hospitality and ambiance are wonderful. Reservations are required. Since I visited on a weekday afternoon, this day was reserved for only one group. A style that adds a la carte dishes to one course dish. It's really only clam dishes. It's a simple and gentle taste that makes use of the taste of clams, and it's really delicious. There is no bitterness or smell at all, and the body is very large and plump. It is an ordinary detached house and looks like a restaurant, but you can see the indirect lighting in the dark interior and the dirt floor. It's a simple course meal that costs about 5,000 yen per person, but it has a high-class feel, and if you like shellfish, it's recommended for dining with family and friends from outside the prefecture, or for a date.
