More Comments at Google MapIt's been 3 years since I moved to Hitachi due to a job transfer. Since it's a company castle town, I expected the shopping street in front of the station to be lively, but it was unimaginably quiet, and I couldn't find any cafeterias or restaurants that I wanted to stop by on my way home from work. I started living a self-catering life. However, if you look for it, you can find it, and this "Hitachi Shokudo" is a truly cozy food shop with a nostalgic Showa smell and a sense of nostalgia. It's about a 15 minute walk from my home, so I use it several times a month when I don't feel like cooking for myself. Udon, soba, ramen, rice dishes, set meals, the menu and taste have remained the same since the Showa era, so no matter how many times you visit, you will never get tired of it. It's hearty and will fill you up. The customer base is a little older than 40 years old, but many are big eaters, and they can enjoy light meals such as cutlet curry + ramen, set meal + zaru soba. It feels good to see this. The lady working at the cafeteria also seems to be a kind and friendly person, making this a restaurant you'll want to visit.
cheap. delicious. [THE Japanese good old set restaurant] I was passing by for work and was recommended by a business partner for the first time. As you can see from the menu, they have everything. There are udon, soba, ramen, and set meals. There were many local regulars eating ramen, but is it popular? I couldn't choose just one of these when I was hungry, so in the end I chose the cutlet set meal. Water is self. After a few minutes of waiting, we finally arrived. Of course, the cutlet is freshly fried and crispy! The meat inside has a mille-feuille structure, so you can enjoy both the softness and the umami of the meat at the same time. It's mother's gentle taste. Miso soup is also nice. The price is also friendly. This is a restaurant that you should try at least once if you are in the area.
We are open all day long which is very helpful!! I always get the yakiniku set meal (680 yen)!! It's good value for money and I recommend it!! I'm curious because there are various other menu items, but I end up with the yakiniku set meal...lol *Photo added
