Located on the south shore of Lake Suwa, this area has beautiful scenery, but is a rich natural area that contrasts with the bustle of Shimosuwa Town on the opposite bank. I was surprised to find such a popular restaurant here. About 30 minutes later, the ordered ``Sauce Katsudon'' (1,980 yen including tax) was served. In a sense, it was a food that was not in my school's concept or ideal form of tonkatsu (the way I thought tonkatsu should be). The pork is Iwachu pork from Iwate Prefecture, which is famous as Japan's first branded pork. The miso used in the miso soup is ``Yukimusume (white?)'' made by Kitaya Brewery near the Okaya water gate. Delicious pickles (cucumber, radish). You can see the temperament of the owner, who is particular about everything. Among them, the most unique one, and the one that the owner seems to have poured his all into, is the white koromo and the soft, slightly pink meat. It's moist and flavorful. The cutlet is said to be fried in rice oil, but it has a faint scent of sesame oil. I think it was really delicious. However, for schoolchildren, the ideal form of cutlet is Katsuyoshi, which used to be located in the basement of the building across from Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi. When I was working in Otemachi, it was one of my irreplaceable delicacies. This store is now open at Nihonbashi Takashimaya, but the taste has changed. My first experience with “Yamabotan”. It was delicious, but I still think that the cutlet is loin, with sweet and delicious fat.
The interior has a retro and calm feel. The meat is so soft that it melts in your mouth, and the batter is low on oil, making it extremely delicious without being heavy on the stomach.
I had the loin and fillet cutlet set meal. All cutlets were served with salt. was delicious. The small bowl of tofu was delicious. The pickled cucumbers were also delicious. Miso soup is also delicious. The deep-fried ingredients are also delicious. The rice was also delicious and just the right amount of softness. Everything was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
