Sakamotoya is located in a place where you wouldn't expect to find a restaurant, but the room is set up in a peaceful farmhouse style, giving you the feeling of visiting someone's home. It's a very clean space, and you can feel the thoughtfulness of the proprietress. Eel is definitely delicious. I was a bit too full at the end and didn't want dessert, but the small bowls, chawanmushi, and simmered dishes were all delicious. A store I want to come back to.

As the Doyo no Ushi Day was approaching, I wanted to eat eel, so I visited for lunch. A quaint house. There is plenty of space inside the store, and you can feel calm. I ordered eel ju. The slightly sweet aroma of the sauce and the charred flavor will whet your appetite. I was very satisfied with the taste, with just the right amount of sweetness in the sauce and the charred texture. I'm also happy that it comes with extra sauce. Also, sansho pepper has a rich aroma, so if you like sansho pepper, you can use it to make it even more delicious.
