Mom's House@Roadside Station Ikusaka no Sato As the name suggests, this shop is run by the mothers of Ikusakamura. Many customers come to enjoy the warm cuisine prepared by rural mothers with a sense of uniformity. Charcoal-grilled oyaki is especially popular on weekends and holidays, so it's worth just watching the mothers' skillful process from the small window inside the store. It is crowded with many tourists from both within and outside the prefecture. The fried chicken set meal and okara croquette are fried in hot oil to a crispy texture. I had the Sanzokuyaki set meal. If you present your JAF membership card, you will receive a 100 yen discount. The small side dish is also very delicious.

Ikusaka Village is the only area in Nagano Prefecture where you can eat ash-grilled oyaki. Unlike ordinary steamed oyaki, the oyaki baked in the ashes has a lot of dough, but the outside is hard and quite rough, and it is satisfying to eat. As for the ash-grilled oyaki here, the mix will be sold out at the same time as the store opens. Reservations are possible, so if you live far away, we recommend making a reservation by phone.
