Ikeda, Nagano, Japan｜Soba restaurant katase

Katase hand made soba restaurant is a family run 2nd generation restaurant. Their soba and vegetables are grown in nearby fields and the tempura vegetables are to die for. I had a cold soba and vegetable tempura set which also includes a small dessert. The food was fresh and tasty with a view of the mountains through a large picture window. The atmosphere is country Japanese with tables and chairs and their is also tatami seating.

It seems to be a popular store and there are many numbers outside the prefecture. There is a parking lot near the store that can park about 3 cars. However, the road was narrow, so everyone was parked in what looked like an empty lot. I ordered Kamikochi.
