Super friendly and welcoming owners! Classic Izakaya dishes and setting. Katsudon was tasty and genrous. Reasonably priced draft beer and cozy atmosphere. Had an English menu available with vegetarian options clearly marked out as well. Definitely worth a visit if staying in Bessho Onsen!

Yum yum yum! Stayed in bessho onsen for 4 nights. Are here twice. Had ramen, soba, and katsudon. Very wonderful experience and kind people who run the place.

Thanks to this restaurant, I was able to spend a wonderful night at Bessho Onsen. I wasn't able to take photos of all the dishes, but all of the dishes I had (fried yam, fried cheese, soaked eggplant, yakitori celery, kashira, meatballs, and edamame) were delicious. I felt that this is an izakaya that is loved by locals and is also friendly to tourists. Mushroom season will be in about two weeks, so if I have the chance, I would like to stop by from late September to October. thank you very much.
