Fujimi, Nagano, Japan｜Yamayuri

What a cool place! We were on a Roadtrip and randomly stopped by for lunch. It was the best udon I ever had (homemade). The place interior is very cute eclectic. The owner/chef gave our three years old a cheese bun as a gift while greetings us when we left. We were so in love with this little gem we discovered. The homemade bun she gave our son was amazingly delicious. Also the homemade chilly paste was superb! We were only tourists there. Mostly locals. Highly recommended.!

This place is amazing! Highlight of our trip! The udon had a delectable and unique fusion of spices and textures from many cuisines and they offer meat and vegetarian options. Highly recommended! The owner (Akiko-San) and the chef were both such great hosts. We could have spent hours there.

The best birthday dinner I ever had. Thank you Akko (and Yo, Issei and Chiharu) for welcoming us to Japan with this amazing evening. The food was delicious and cooked with local ingredients. Also the house itself is really nice.
