I usually visit him for lunch on weekdays, but I visited him for lunch on Sunday. The store is located in a corner of the building, so it's not very large, but it always fills up quickly. It was crowded, so it took a while to be served, but I think it was worth the wait. All the dishes are very delicious and I don't think you will be disappointed no matter what you eat. This time I had fillet cutlet inside and grated pork cutlet, and the batter was crispy and very delicious. The rice was also made with new rice from Maruko, and it was really delicious. Additional notes when revisiting in September 2023 ◎ Stewed grilled fish and beef tendon At 12 noon (30 minutes after opening), I stopped by for the first time in a while. It was a good thing that there was only one small table for one person available, but it is popular enough to be expected to be full at 12 noon even on weekdays. The host cooks the food by himself, so please expect it to take quite a while (maybe 30 to 40 minutes) for the food to arrive. Please be aware of this before using. (Difficult to use if you are in a hurry) This time, I had the ``grilled fish and beef tendon stew'', which was inspired by the Japanese cuisine that I was interested in last time. Since the menu price is less than 1,000 yen (prices vary depending on the fish), I expected the portions to not be that large, but there were enough side dishes to finish off the large rice I ordered, and I paid my bill. I thought maybe I was wrong about the current price! For the fish, I decided on mackerel from among the choices that day. Judging from the price, I thought it would be half a mackerel with the head and tail cut in half, but the head was cut off, but it came out as a whole half-body~♪ Although the size of the fish is a little small, there is also stewed beef tendon, so I don't feel like there is a shortage of side dishes, so I passed~♪ The stewed beef tendon was delicious to the very end, as the tendon was tender and the sauce had a gentle sweetness and salty flavor.
