Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan｜Tamagawa Shokudō

Food was great! Sushi was fresh, portions were good tempura don was amazing. It’s run by an older couple who are really kind, even to foreigners. There service was great. Enjoyed the free tea!

We had salt-grilled sweetfish, wild vegetable soba, and katsudon. It is run by an elderly couple, and I was impressed by their courteous customer service and delicious food. It's great to visit restaurants that are popular with tourists while traveling, but it's also great to enjoy delicious local restaurants!

A restaurant for locals. The food menu is extensive. Kanto people must think it's delicious, a classic taste. Helping a child (grandchild of the shopkeeper?) is also a good impression. If tourists are going, it might be better to shift the time. It will be full with regular customers.
