Hakuba, Nagano, Japan｜Kuriya Hoozuki

Chanced upon this izakaya, and had a great experience. Food was generally good, but a shout-out for the tamagoyaki which was a surprisingly large plate of goodness. Can’t go wrong with the dishes here!

Myself and my partner arrived into Hakuba late on a Tuesday. Not only did this restaurant smell amazing but the laughs and sounds of inside were too inviting to miss. We ordered the seared wagyu, fried chicken nagano style and the french fries with a house red and draft beer. This was amazing. The plates were huge and the flavor was surreal. For a treat we ordered the ‘creme caramel’ and the salted caramel ice cream (photos attached). These were a great mix and a real delight. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. If we are ever back this will be where we eat and what we will tell our friends.
