Otari, Nagano, Japan｜HAKUBA BEER GARAGE

I did not expect one of the best breweries I’ve ever visited to be right on the slopes in Tsugaike, but here we are. They had three beers that were brewed in-house to pick from and none disappointed. I was there the week before the season started so I don’t know how busy it gets but with just a few people it was a great vibe.

Great place to hang out with friends after skiing - good but pricey local beer. Delicious appetizers - we ordered edamame beans with anchovy, and Shinchu salmon with bruscetta. Everything was fingers licking delicious.

Love the Tropical Snow (hazy IPA). A nice light take on a usually heavy tasting beer. Also free pool!
