If you are Japanese food lover heading to Togakushi ski resort or wanting to visit the shrine, now you are spotting a must go restaurant. Very much appreciated the warm hospitality and delicious food at this little soba restaurant. It’s owned by a friendly senior couple, with a small but cozy dining room in transitional tatami setup. You are welcomed taking photos but better asking first for courtesy. Epic hand made soba plus warm sake, served with a couple of yummy side dishes for only 1200 yen, surprisingly great value but the taste doesn’t get comprised at all.

I ordered tempura soba, tempura udon, tempura soba, and rice and egg. Both the boiled daikon radish and pickles were delicious. The host is a very kind and polite person. After us, apparently A large number of familiar faces came to the store. Seems to be a popular local store.
