More Comments at Google MapWhile I was the only one in there, the one man who ran the shop was so nice and the food was absolutely delicious!! Would definitely recommend going here as the quality was amazing and when I looked at the soba and tasted it, you can tell it was definitely hand made!
Best freshly made Soba and Tempera I had was Delicious
Since I came to Togakushi, I went to Kanoya as usual. It's not what you would call a restaurant with long lines of customers, but the soba noodles are made after your order is placed, so it's really delicious. The father (making the soba noodles) and the mother (cutting the soba noodles and cooking) run the restaurant, so it seems like they won't be able to make it in time if there are that many customers. It took about 30 minutes after I took my order, and as I waited while drinking tea, the soba noodles were ready. Today I ordered both zaru (cold soba) and kake (warm soba). The soba noodles in the monkey were delicious and I finished it in no time. The spicy radish condiment was also crisp and delicious. The soy sauce is a bit strong, but the soba is so delicious that you can't help but eat it with your chopsticks. Personally, I think it's the most delicious in Togakushi. However, if you become famous, it will end as soon as the buckwheat flour runs out, so you may not be able to eat it anymore, which can be painful and itchy... I recommend you to try it at least once. Try eating the colander first.
