For once, punching google maps for the nearest lunch didn't lead us to a closed place or a tourist trap. We arrived to a middle of nowhere. But don't let the dwarf door and odd looking farmhouse scare you away because inside resides a great kaiseki restaurant. A magical place: from the wood fired stove through an array of fantastic dishes to the final goodbyes, it is authentic, delicious and well priced. Lunch from 3200¥ to 5400¥, dinner from 5400¥ to 9700¥ including tax, children menu 1500¥. No western dishes.

Exceptional meal and service- the setting is as warm and understated as the service but delivers well above the price point for a kaiseki meal. One of the highlights of our trip!
